Discuss Final Fantasy?

I II III IV V VI VII (AC BC CC DC or LO?) VIII IX X (X-2?) XI XII or the new one, FF XIII that will be coming out soon for PS3 and (XBOX 360?)

7 was the first I played, it was amazing. The Advent Children movie was also amazing. The spinoffs, not so much...The Lost Order Anime was pretty well done though :3

I played 8 and loved it also, not as much as 7, but it was still good. I hated 9. Disliked 10, and I refuse to call X-2 a videogame...it was so terrible. Played XI on my friend's account, but there weren't many people online playing while I was so it was kind of boring...also very confusing, and not being able to use the mouse to navigate easily was a pain. XII ...I only played this one for about an hour so I can't really say much about it, the graphics didn't look a whole lot better than FF 10....to be honest, and the start was really boring.

I saw the trailers for 13 ...I don't know how good it will be, but for all I know when main characters are chicks, they focus more on fan service and graphics than gameplay....so I have no idea on what to think about it 'till I play it.

Never played any of them. I actually never really had any desire to. I kind of wish they'd just end the whole thing; they've made it go on so long considering it's the final fantasy.

Best Game series ever(the first is the best)..aside from Street fighter(i'm slightly biased), I do so love my fighting games.

Same could be said about Fire Emblem.



I personally love the FF series. 9 was the first one I played, and it's probably still my favorite to this day. Though I've owned 7 & 8 for many many years now, I don't think I've played more then 10 minutes of either of them ^^;; I enjoyed 10 and X-2, I wouldn't say they were the best games in the series though. I still have yet to try 11, and sadly I still don't have 12 yet. I haven't heard or seen much of 13. But now working at EB Games, I guess I'm gonna have to X3

It's a shame that Sony lost their exclusive rights. But at the same time, people don't have to go out and buy a PS3 just for it.

I'm not a huge fan of FF either, but I have enjoyed (i)some(/i) of the games...

Crystal Chronicles was of a different style, and I LOVED it. I've owned the game since it came out and have put over 9000!!! hours into it.
Ok, not 9000, but 4000+ (nearing half a year of straight gameing).
Huzzah for the DS version.

9 was in my opinion the best I used to ike 7 untill there came this weird obsession for it out of nowhere Fire Emblem is a great series too i have the gameboy ADV ones on my pc lol and the WII one is also great a lil difficult though ....

I LOVE 8! I bought VII so will play it soon as well, but I tried IX for like 5 minuts and it felt a bit weird.... but I'm still going to buy and play it its FF! XD X WAS AWSOME! I love it as much as VIII, but X-2... that doesnt exist. I'm not being sexist (I'm a girl) But OMG!? WTF!? anyway XII isnt that hot ether got bored and threw it in a corner.... XD I cant wait for XIII to come out. I despritly need a PSP! XD I want all the add ons that wil be on PSP especialy the One u can chose any Character from the series and play them.. I'm forgetting the title right now... damn shame on me XD.

But I rather VIII for the record compared to VII. Graphics are better and i rather the story but so far i find I'm going threw the game WAY to fast for a FF game. XD true i did play the thing up to disc three like.. 7times XD But anyway.

i love ff, first i ever played was II us (IV) and now remains my fave.
i liked IX had a good story and i love melodies of life its an amazing song.
X-2 was an ok game but was alas a great fan service game
X was a great story and i love the overdrive system (trance is way better!!!!)
VIII, well i never actually finished it im still on the 2nd disc
VII is OK, it was a good for its time, story is good but not the greatest, limits were good but again TRANCE IS BETTER
III, V and VI, again never finished them so i cant say anything
II I'm at the end of the game but just stopped
12, well its different, coughblowscough, i thought ashe was gonna be an awesome but shes umm a *****
I was good but, i got stuck and could not play the game without a walkthrough
and i never played XI
Tactics(and tactics WOTL(since it is the same game)) is amazing i absolutely loved it one of my faves for life
i never beat Tactics adv or A2 yet but ill get there eventually

FF7 was the first I played.... wait, maybe it was FF Legends 3 for Gameboy... oh well :D. I'd have to say that FInal Fantasy Tactics is by far my favourite, although I really enjoy most of the rest. I really liked the battle system for X-2, but the story was a huge turn off.

I played FF1,2, 7, dirge of cerebus (continuation of 7) and I'm playing 12 right now, Honestly the first few games were awesome, I miss old retro rpg games like Zelda and FF and super Nes~! I hace chrystal chronicles for game cube although my kiddies broke it ~cries~!

i forgot about dirge of ceberus, hmm wasent that great but it was ok, did well as a shooter(kinda) but story was kinda lameish

Big fan of the Final Fantasy games - like many, my first experience was with FF7 - hooked ever since. Waiting desperately for 13 to come out, luckily MGS4 help ease my impatience.



FF7, FF8, FF10 - Awesome
FF9... still trying to play it (couple of hours each summer), but monkey boy just pisses me off.
FF10-2, sigh, yes I played it, got the story, never could bear the second time around to get the 'real ending', but who knows, I might finish it one day.
FF11 - never had the money initially to get into it, and now have not the desire/time to get into an MMORPG.
FF12 - I was good, but wasn't 'that' impressed with it. Had an odd MMO feeling, the intro part kinda upset me at first, and could never feel like I was playing any role other than the role of hitting the playstation controller. Although the game does have some cool features (long battle fights, etc.). Oh, and the music was 'ok'.
Pre-FF7 - Played most, just cuz they were final fantasy. Will complete all in the distant future.
DOC - Attempting to play it, but kinda lost interest.
FF7:AC - epic film, it took so much self control from downloading it before it was released here - I have never went through so much stress in acquiring this produce.
FF:SW - I thought it was good, I don't know why many didn't like it.
FF:Unlimited - It was ok, a bit childish but ok.

i just got ff IV the after years on my wii, im 20 mins in it its not bad, its not too fancy, nor is it too expensive, its like 800 points(about 8 bucks), heres the catcher, you get the first story with your purchase, then you have the buy the other arcs 1 and they are 300(about 3 bucks) points each

lol my first FF experience was when I was 4, got FF 1 for the NES, was so confused <.<; wrote the game off almost imediately, then when I hit the age of 9 and actually figured out how to play it, I beat the game in about 12-13 days(cuz when your 9 u have way too much free time).

Then my mom sold my cartrage years later, and i bid farewell to my boyish childhood dreams, and picked up a copy of FF6 from my cousin(or as its know on these shores as 3). Got horribly lost again =P and jumped over it after getting most of the way through the game and went onto another gift from my cousin FF7, 8, and 9. I now have save points in all those game with everything possible maxed out(except FF7 takes a long to to master all those materia, but not far off from fully done). After that there was some FF10, FF10-2, some brief playing of FF11 got to lvl 30 Monk, killed stuff easily and the server became overrun with nothing but old fags so no parties to lvl up in. And finally we stand at the most resent FF12 and during this years I also played all of the precursors to these games (FF2,FF3,FF4,FF5).

so ya like my Final Fantasy
